IXO is recruiting specialists to evaluate plumbing diagnoses and code judgments grounded in licensed field experience. Your contribution is technical work: make reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with an hourly rate of $55–$95 USD. Availability can be up to 10 hours per week; use UPC/IPC code context and written English to explain conclusions and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a US journeyman/master plumbing licence and have practical UPC/IPC knowledge.
• At least two years of field experience beyond apprenticeship is required.
• Ability to explain diagnostic conclusions in written English for remote assessments.

IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate plumbing diagnoses and code judgments grounded in licensed field experience. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Work you will do

• Develop written scenarios that connect symptoms, investigation and the appropriate repair approach.
• Explain choices about venting, drainage, water systems or related details using the applicable UPC, IPC or other required code context.
• Assess answers for safety, workmanship and compliance, identifying advice that could cause contamination, flooding or inspection failure. No field plumbing service is implied.

Required background and routes

• A current US journeyman/master plumbing licence, at least two field years beyond apprenticeship and practical UPC/IPC code knowledge.
• Explain diagnostic conclusions in written English; the engagement concerns remote knowledge tasks rather than on-site plumbing services.

Preferred background

• Master/contractor licensing, commercial systems, medical-gas or backflow certification, estimating, inspections or apprentice training.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

US professional practice and the stated jurisdictional credential apply. Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability planning can include 10 hours per week depending on the track. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.

Pay and working terms
