Aircraft Engineering Services are inviting applications for a Liaison Engineer to be based at Marseille Airport, working in cooperation with our client Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline.

The successful candidate will be an operationally focused, highly adaptable, and proven leader, demonstrating a flexible working attitude in a fast-changing environment.

Reporting directly to the Spanish General Manager, the successful candidate will be part of the management team responsible for leading and managing Ryanair’s Engineering Line Stations across France. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Management of Routine Maintenance, Aircraft Incidents/AOGs, and Third-Party Liaison.
  2. Manpower planning, recruitment, staff retention, and performance management.
  3. Ensuring availability of appropriate spares and equipment at each location.
  4. Conducting regular base visits, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory (EASA) compliance.
  5. Investigating Maintenance Delays, Engineering Safety Reports, and Non-Compliances, with strategies to prevent recurrence.
  6. Working directly with all parties to reduce AOGs and aircraft Hills.
  7. Controlling the scheduling at each base (OPO, LIS, FAO).
  8. Maintaining records of applications for EASA Part 66 Licenses.
  9. Managing internal promotions and analyzing their effectiveness.
  10. Planning and coordinating manpower for training purposes.
  11. Handling Human Resources tasks such as annual leave, monthly scheduling, and training.
  12. Coordinating and reporting management updates.
  13. Preparing bases for internal and external audits, participating in audits, and resolving findings.
Requirements

We seek a motivated self-starter capable of managing technical teams in a diverse and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate progress effectively to Senior Management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership experience, especially in remotely managing diverse teams.
  • Experience in Aviation Maintenance (EASA Part 145) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Full computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Unrestricted right-to-work in the EU, a full Driving License, and willingness to travel across bases in France, Belgium, Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.
