As a dedicated Legal Manager for Orient Express Sailing Yachts (sailing yachts activity), you will provide legal support across all departments (Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.) of the team, with responsibilities ranging from contract negotiation and governance to intellectual property and maritime law compliance.
The objective of the role is to ensure legal and regulatory compliance of their activities. You will report directly to the Secretary General and work closely with the legal departments of Orient Express and Accor Luxury & Lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Governance and legal secretariat: advise on good governance practices, ensuring compliance with ethical, legal standards, and data protection obligations. Participate in establishing transparent processes within the board of directors and executive committees. Handle the legal secretariat of the Group's companies.
- Contracts: draft and negotiate various contracts related to the activities of the Orient Express Sailing Yachts entity, including sales, renovation, design, partnership, service, and intellectual property contracts. Ensure proper organization and centralization of contracts and legal documentation using the group's tools to create an accessible, structured, and secure database.
- Cross-functional legal support: provide strategic legal advice to management and various departments (Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.). Supervise the implementation and compliance with internal policies, particularly in corporate law, financing law, insurance, and compliance.
- Management of litigation and pre-litigation: manage litigation and pre-litigation cases in collaboration with external lawyers when necessary.
- Intellectual property: implement the protection of the entity's intangible assets through prior searches and monitoring of pre-litigation and litigation activities in conjunction with industrial property advisors.
- Maritime law: monitor international maritime law compliance in cooperation with external advisors. Ensure legal interface with local jurisdictions and monitor compliance with regulations affecting ship operations.
- GDPR: collaborate with teams and advisors on various GDPR topics.

Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in law, Law School diploma, or equivalent training with specialization in business law, contract law, and knowledge of the tourism sector.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years as a lawyer or legal counsel in an international environment. Experience in the maritime, cruise, or luxury hospitality sector is a plus.
- Personal qualities: Rigor, analytical skills, ability to manage complex situations, diplomacy, agility, autonomy, intellectual curiosity, sense of priorities, collaboration spirit, and good communication skills.
