Job summary

Cleo Labs in Paris seeks an experienced professional to bridge law, customers and our technology. You will interpret regulations across countries, align product ranges with rules, and serve as the trusted regulatory advisor from onboarding to ongoing follow-up.

You will shape the regulatory sources for our platform, verify AI outputs for legal soundness, and share expertise to enhance the product. This is a senior, in-house role in Europe.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years in product compliance or regulatory law, ideally in-house.
• Strong command of product regulations (composition, labelling, safety, traceability, PFAS, REACH, Digital Product Passport...), in Europe and ideally beyond.
• Autonomous: you can take a fuzzy topic and move it forward on your own.
• Genuine curiosity for artificial intelligence and what it can bring to the legal craft.

• Interpret their product ranges and the regulations that apply to them, in every country, and settle the tricky cases.
• Be their trusted point of contact on regulatory matters, from onboarding to long-term follow-up.
• Guarantee that what we deliver is right, from R&D to labelling to customs.
• Select and consolidate the regulatory sources that feed our platform.
• Verify and improve the quality of what our AI produces, so that every answer holds up legally.
• Pass on your expertise so it becomes part of the product.

At Cleo Labs, we help brands launch their products in new countries without being blocked by regulation, and stay compliant over time. Before a brand sells a product in a country, Cleo identifies the rules that apply: PFAS, REACH, Digital Product Passport, origin, traceability. Then we monitor continuously: as soon as a rule moves, we alert the team and flag what needs to change, a formula, a label, a certification. Major brands already trust us.

The profile

• 5 to 10 years in product compliance or regulatory law, ideally in-house. Time spent in a luxury house, retail or consumer goods is a real asset, but we keep an open mind.
• A strong command of product regulations (composition, labelling, safety, traceability, PFAS, REACH, Digital Product Passport...), in Europe and ideally beyond.
• You like to structure, clarify and set clear rules, not only give case-by-case opinions.
• Autonomous: you can take a fuzzy topic and move it forward on your own.
• A genuine curiosity for artificial intelligence and what it can bring to the legal craft.
