Job Description

The Legal Counsel works in Accor’s headquarters in the Paris Suburban Area (Issy les Moulineaux). Within a team of 8 lawyers, under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel – Tech, the Legal Counsel handles legal issues related to innovative technologies and the digitalization of the Group. The role requires experience in transactional matters such as product development, contract drafting and negotiation, structuring innovation projects, and managing strategic tech partnerships, including regulation and protection of online content.

The Group is undergoing major changes in its core business applications for both corporate and hotel needs, engaging in negotiations with strategic service providers. Additionally, the digital transformation, including the development of digital products and experiences, is a key ambition for Accor, involving innovative tools, platforms, and digital assets. The capacity to drive change, adapt, and think critically while adopting a comprehensive approach to commercial issues with all stakeholders (hotels, service providers) is essential.

Fixed term contract from 08/15/2025 to 02/28/2026

Under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel Tech, the Legal Counsel – Tech, Digital & Innovation shall:

  • Support digitalization projects, including innovative initiatives like AI and platform regulations.
  • Ensure legal support for deploying digital and IT solutions for corporate and hotel use, including contract negotiations with strategic service providers.
  • Support the deployment of Group digital projects, policies, and strategies.
  • Collaborate internally to draft and update contract templates and processes in line with regulations and policies.
  • Assist in deploying digital tools and templates, including training and presentations.

Any other tasks necessary to protect the Group’s reputation and assets.

Fixed term contract for 6 months.

Qualifications

  • Master of Law degree, preferably with a double cursus
  • 6-8 years of experience in a company or international law firm
  • Experience in IT, cybersecurity, data protection, e-commerce, platform regulations, AI, and emerging technologies
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment
  • Fluent English
  • Leadership skills: agility, adaptability, decision-making, critical thinking
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and be impactful
  • Business acumen
  • Organizational skills and project management abilities
  • Knowledge of compliance matters like anti-corruption, sanctions, vigilance, and antitrust law
  • Curiosity and ability to understand sector regulations
  • Technologically savvy, with good understanding of information systems and advanced technologies
