Job Description
As part of the Accor Group's Corporate Legal Department, the IP-Contract Lawyer will join the IP team of 4 to 5 people (lawyers and paralegals) located at headquarters (Issy-les-Moulineaux), in a highly international context.
The IP team is responsible for protecting and defending all Accor group IP assets worldwide, for both the Premium-Midscale-Eco and Luxury divisions.
The IP Lawyer's role is to assist various internal clients on a wide range of IP-related contracts. He / she also provides support to operational and legal teams on intellectual property issues, and may be called upon to help manage IP pre-litigation / litigation.
Under the supervision of the General Counsel IP, the Legal Counsel shall:
- Assisting Marketing, Communication, Design, Digital Factory, Purchasing, M&A, Tax and Legal teams with the contractual aspects of their IP projects;
- Drafting, review, negotiation and follow-up of all types of contracts involving intellectual property rights / personality rights: assignment, license, coexistence, provision of services, marketing, collaboration, design, photographer, production, advertising, ambassador, etc.;
- Elaborate and update robust templates and standard clauses in close collaboration with the relevant legal and operational teams as part of the "Global Contractual Policy";
- Participation in the development / deployment of internal processes;
- Participation in cross-functional projects within the legal department and IP management (guidelines, seminars, Intranet, in-house training, etc.);
- Participation in drafting IP communication materials (newsletter, annual report, etc.);
- Support to M&A team on IP aspects and drafting of agreements;
- Participation in IP pre-litigation / litigation management, where necessary with the help of external counsels.
Qualifications
Experience / Education:
- Master of Business Law / Private Law / Contracts
- Specialization via M2 and / or LLM in intellectual property law
- 5 / 6 years' previous experience in private practice (law firm) and / or in-house (first experience in-house desirable)
- Experience in drafting and negotiating IP-related contracts (in English)
- Previous education / professional experience abroad appreciated

- FLUENT written and spoken English (main working language) and French
- Excellent command of contractual techniques
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills
- Rigorous, methodical organization skills, ability to plan and prioritize; strong project management skills
