Qualifications

• 12-15 ans d'expérience en pratique juridique (cabinet ou entreprise).
• Maîtrise du français; anglais courant souhaité.

Responsabilités

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and business-minded General Counsel France to join our Legal & Compliance team. You will be the lead legal advisor for ArcelorMittal’s operations in France, managing a local legal team and providing legal and compliance support across all business functions. This role offers significant responsibility and visibility, with the opportunity to influence key decisions at both local and international levels.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the principal legal advisor to the French leadership team and functions.
• Overseeing contract negotiation and management across procurement, sales, logistics, and distribution.
• Monitoring litigation, disputes, and investigations, coordinating external counsel as needed.
• Developing and delivering training on legal and compliance issues.
• Building relationships with external stakeholders including legal advisors and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

• 12–15 years of experience in legal practice (law firm and/or in-house), including commercial, corporate, regulatory, and environmental law.
• Master’s degree in French Law (Bac +5).
• Fluent in French; proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, international, and matrixed environment.
