APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY – APPRENTICE LEGAL COUNSEL – EMEA REGION

Duration: 1 year

Start date: September 2025 (or to be agreed)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Legal Department. Based in Rueil-Malmaison, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Legal Counsel – EMEA to support legal matters across the region.

Your responsibilities will include contract review and drafting, negotiations, document management, and legal follow-up. You will gain exposure to legal issues in data privacy, clinical studies, distributor relationships, and commercial operations.

You will actively participate in regional legal projects, contributing meaningfully to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Privacy: Support GDPR and local data protection compliance, participate in DPIAs and DPAs, and analyze business initiatives from a privacy perspective.
• Clinical Studies: Assist with agreements involving HCOs, HCPs, and CROs; review consent forms and evaluate clinical projects.
• Distributor Relations: Review distribution agreements, draft amendments, and handle related documents.
• Commercial Operations: Support legal risk assessments and tender-related legal matters.
• Project Involvement: Participate in internal legal projects initiated by the EMEA Legal Department.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proactive and responsive to business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Desired Profile:

• Currently pursuing a Master 1 in Law, preferably with a focus on healthcare law; experience in commercial law, data privacy, or contracts is a plus
• Relevant educational or professional experience is advantageous
• Knowledge of the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is beneficial
• Additional language skills, especially German or Italian, are a plus
