Legal Associate

As our Legal Associate, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our global operations with sound legal insight, sharp contract management, and a proactive approach to compliance.

Legal Advice:
· Provide legal counsel on corporate law, commercial law, and contractual matters.
· Assist in navigating legal complexities and offering strategic solutions to operational challenges.
Contract Management:
· Draft and review contracts, including Master Services Agreements and Consulting Agreements.
· Negotiate terms and ensure all agreements are compliant with legal standards.
Corporate Governance:
· Support corporate secretarial functions and documentation for affiliate companies.
· Ensure compliance with organizational changes and relevant regulations.
Data Protection Compliance:
· Work alongside the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to maintain data compliance across various entities.
· Assist in audits related to data protection, and contribute to training programs.
This dynamic role within VCLS offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, closely interacting with other departments and contributing to key business projects.
· Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited legal institution.
· Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and data protection law.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts.
· Proficient in both English and French; additional languages are a plus.
· Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professional integrity.
· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
· Experience working in an international and multicultural environment is highly desirable.
