Job Description:

The Clinical Specialist works with the leadless pacemaker product (CRM - Cardiac Rhythm Management) and therapy experts in the field. They provide procedural, technical, clinical, educational, and sales leadership to ensure safe adoption and growth of Abbott's leadless technology. The Leadless Clinical Specialist collaborates closely with internal and external customers to drive therapy adoption and procedural success.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Provide primary case support for initial leadless implants, following instructions for use, utilizing deep knowledge of best practices, clinical data, and technical expertise.
2. Partner with local sales teams to ensure the safe expansion of leadless therapy within local accounts and transfer of technical expertise to the commercial team.
3. Support regional (EMEA) physician training programs by facilitating hands-on training in partnership with the EMEA Leadless education team.
4. Develop trusting relationships with physician implanters based on demonstrated technical and clinical knowledge.
5. Oversee local education and training activities, including coordination, setup, and content delivery. Facilitate simulated procedures, troubleshooting, and instruction for hospital staff, physicians, and clinic personnel.
6. Assist in certifying local Abbott personnel.
7. Complete administrative tasks such as case tracking and monitoring physician training progress.
8. Provide feedback to internal stakeholders to improve customer experiences.
9. Apply best business practices to ensure success and cost-effectiveness.
10. Ensure employee compliance with Abbott policies and practices.

Education & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical or application engineering experience with medical devices, preferably in a cardiac environment.
• Comfortable navigating medical environments, including labs and hospitals.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate complex technological devices.
• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Proven success in leading and influencing customers, providing guidance as needed.
• High flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively within France and abroad.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in both the local language and English.
