You will be part of Sanofi Global Engineering's Manufacturing Systems & Automation department, embedded within project teams for major investment projects for the Sanofi France region. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to influence the global manufacturing strategy through innovative solutions. You'll work with a dynamic team to integrate and advance state-of-the-art manufacturing systems and automation, ensuring Sanofi remains industry-leading.

As an Automation Project Leader within our Global Manufacturing Systems & Automation team, you'll drive innovation by implementing advanced manufacturing solutions, significantly shaping our manufacturing strategy and supporting project teams.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategy for manufacturing systems and automation, aligned with safety, quality, business, and user needs
  • Create detailed project plans with schedules, resources, milestones, and deliverables
  • Lead the automation team in designing and developing control systems, ensuring safety, quality, and sustainability compliance
  • Integrate automation systems with digital applications for seamless connectivity
  • Coordinate with procurement to select vendors meeting quality and regulatory standards
  • Maintain consistency in automation design across all Sanofi facilities
  • Proactively manage risks, ensure GMP compliance, and minimize disruptions
About you
  • Experience: Proven track record managing complex manufacturing automation, robotics, and technologies in pharma
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Process Control Systems (DeltaV), SCADA (Ignition), PLCs (Rockwell), Data Historian, BMS, MES; capable of designing system architectures
  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Biotechnology, or related fields
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Languages: Proficiency in English required; additional languages a plus
