ArianeGroup is seeking a Head of Valves & Equipment to lead the French/German team in the field of Flow Control Devices for cryogenic propellants. This role orchestrates a dual-site portfolio and requires steering the technical direction, people development and operation maturity across Ottobrunn and Vernon.

You will drive multidisciplinary collaboration, manage program milestones, and champion design-to-cost approaches while promoting international teamwork in space propulsion.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in aerospace engineering.
• 7+ years working experience in aerospace engineering.
• Deep knowledge of storable and cryogenic propellant flow control devices.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and thermo-mechanics in Flow Control Equipment.
• Experience with systems engineering and project management.
• Proven leadership and staff development abilities.
• Excellent coordination and communication; English fluent; French/German a plus.

Responsabilités

• Ensure French/German excellence for Flow Control Devices (Valves and Equipment).
• Adapt team vision and mission to customer and market needs.
• Develop and maintain leading-edge skills in propellant flow control devices.
• Manage and deliver justification for all products in the Valves and Equipment portfolio.
• Oversee test and flight worthiness of all Flow Control Devices including anti-POGO devices.
• Assess sub-contractor waivers for technical acceptance.
• Identify pre-development of innovative valve and equipment technologies.
