Une entreprise spécialisée dans les projets industriels cherche un Lead Structural Engineer pour rejoindre son équipe en Ile-de-France, avant de se déplacer à Nantong, en Chine. Le candidat sera responsable de la supervision des activités d'ingénierie, de la sécurité, et de l'optimisation des coûts pour des projets offshore complexes. Ce rôle offre une occasion unique d'évoluer dans un environnement international tout en s'engageant à promouvoir la sécurité et la durabilité.

Description du poste

We are looking for an "LEAD STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (M / F)" for one of our clients, to be based in Ile-de-France (France) then Nantong (China) for a 12-month contract (potentially renewable).

LEAD STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (M / F". What will your responsibilities and missions be?

HSE Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exemplary behavior with respect to HSE policies and practices
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance with HSE requirements within the scope of the Structural (STR) discipline
  • Promote a high HSE culture within the project and among all stakeholders
  • Ensure that all STR engineering activities are executed with a strong focus on safety and environmental performance

General Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate all topside Structural (STR) engineering activities carried out by the EPSCC Contractor and the fabrication yard, including review of calculation notes, engineering drawings, and shop drawings
  • Act as the main interface with the Hull team on STR-related matters
  • Monitor FPSO topsides weight evolution and consolidate the overall FPSO weight in coordination with Hull inputs. Analyze the weight control reports and report significant changes to the Engineering Manager, relevant discipline engineers, and the Project Manager

Documentation & Reviews

  • Review and comment on all STR and weight-related engineering deliverables in a timely manner
  • Consolidate and align comments across other engineering specialists and internal stakeholders (Operations, HSE, etc.)
  • Prepare deviation requests from FPSO Key Technical Requirements
  • Follow up with the company Head Office experts to ensure timely responses

Design Optimization & Support

  • Provide subject matter expertise in structural engineering
  • Support and challenge the EPSCC Contractor during value engineering phases; promote alternative designs to optimize cost, schedule, and constructability
  • Conduct and support engineering studies that contribute to technical decision-making, and issue recommendations to project management
  • Proactively address engineering clarifications, deviation requests, and unexpected technical issues
  • Liaise with the Head Office to seek specialized expertise on STR-related subjects
  • Assist the Procurement team with technical evaluations and clarifications
  • Support the Commissioning and Operations teams during their preparation and execution phases
  • Contribute to project technical reviews and ensure the timely implementation of resulting actions in your discipline

Mobility & Field Assignment

  • The position will evolve into a Field Engineering role, with expected mobilization to the fabrication yard in Nantong (China) in January 2026

Reporting & Accountability

  • Ensure proper and consistent reporting of engineering progress and highlight critical issues to the Engineering Manager, along with proposing remedial actions
  • Demonstrate exemplary behavior in line with HSSE standards and ensure that all HSSE requirements are strictly implemented within your area of responsibility

What profile and skills are Required for this "LEAD STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (M / F" Position?

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced expertise in structural engineering, specifically applied to offshore Oil & Gas projects
  • Proven ability to approach tasks with rigor, problem-solving mindset, and a focus on successful delivery
  • Strong skills in organization, communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination to ensure effective execution of responsibilities
  • Language requirement : Proficiency in English is mandatory
