Job Specification :

• Candidate with an engineering background (B.E. Mechanical / Tech / M.Tech only)
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of metal cutting and machine operations
• Preferably worked in manufacturing, shop floor, testing lab, design, or NC programming
• Minimum experience: 4 years

Job Summary :

• Product test engineer to conduct metalworking tests in the Global Machining Technology lab (GMT) and support product engineering activities
• Collaborate with global GMT team members regularly for project and testing meetings
• Prepare reports and presentations for the respective team
• Participate as a member or host global GMT calls on project updates, collecting feedback from marketing and sales teams
• Work with the application and sales teams for technical product support and manufacturing productivity improvements; support knowledge center training programs

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Conduct product testing in the lab according to standard procedures; prepare detailed reports and share with project leaders and teams; schedule tests with GMT manager
• Collaborate with sales and application teams for field testing at customer sites; consolidate reports for product engineering and marketing teams
• Support manufacturing, quality, and product engineering departments with measurement inspections, performance evaluations, failure analysis, and technical problem-solving
• Conduct technical training programs at the knowledge center, including lab demonstrations and sales/distributor training
• Host quarterly DrillMillTurn calls for global project updates, collecting feedback from sales and application teams
• Perform customer product tests to evaluate performance and analyze results; collaborate with teams to resolve customer complaints
• Test and demonstrate new products, training sales and application teams alongside the product team
• Support prototype development in steel and carbide; collaborate with NC programming and manufacturing
• Review product literature and catalogs; conduct benchmark tests against competitors
• Participate in EHS, Safety, Kaizen, Find & Fix, and ISO programs, proactively pursuing continuous improvement
• Follow SOPs, safety rules, and company policies
• Collaborate with the global GMT team on project updates and report progress regularly
• Support and train new apprentices and interns on technical aspects of metal cutting
