Role Description

We are looking for an engineer with experience on development in the area of HTTP servers for video delivery, ideally CDN for adaptive streaming. You will join a growing, international, and diverse team of R&D engineers committed to impacting innovations in video and entertainment. You will enjoy working on cutting edge multimedia technology, developing innovative delivery solutions, and contributing to a CDN, which delivers terabits per second of high-quality video. Our CDN has a real impact on the way people entertain with video, which makes our development duties even more exciting.

A Lead Software Engineer in the Edge CDN is a member of a small team, who maintains the high quality of the product and takes ownership of the development of new features, from design to product integration. Mentoring or managing junior developers is possible. We love engineers who initiate new projects and ideas and who contribute to the business success. The small size of the team and the openness of the organization put engineers in position of being actors of the product development. We also love engineers who are ready to contribute to open-source communities and to participate to open forum. The role can include interactions with multiple people in the organization and with customers. The job thus offers a large variety of experiences and opportunities, the focus being on the development of the CDN product for our customers.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Informatics (University or Engineering technological schools)
• From 3 to 10-year experience in coding inC/C++ (and/or Golang), ideally on Apache Traffic Server and Apache Traffic Control projects
• Experience in video streaming, for example adaptive video systems (DASH, HLS), video encoding (H265, VP9), and multimedia packages (CMAF) would be amazing.
• Good knowledge on network stack (IP, TCP/UDP, HTTP) and its evolutions.
• Experience in participating to open-source communities, ideally Apache Software Foundation
• Experience in containers and virtualized systems.
• Excellent level in English language. Speaking French is a plus.
