This position is Paris-based.
You will be an integral part of a newly established internal studio, a dynamic and focused team dedicated to one of our most promising prototypes in scale. This studio is specifically chartered to improve this high-potential game up to the successful and market-ready title it is meant to become.In this exciting role, your initial focus will be on Gear Fight, a game that has already demonstrated significant promise and captured our attention with its compelling core mechanics and engaging gameplay.
You'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth and refinement of Gear fight, leveraging its existing traction to build a truly exceptional player experience. This is a unique chance to join a project with established momentum while still having a significant impact on its future direction within a dedicated and agile studio environment.
As a Lead QA Engineer at Voodoo, you will lead our approach to maintaining our game health and free of defects.
Together with the rest of the team, you will be in charge of testing the game and minimizing the number of defects in it:
Conduct comprehensive testing of our mobile games to identify and document crucial defects, taking ownership of the entire QA process to assure quality and user experience
Assist in creating processes and tools to improve the overall quality of the game
Follow the technical KPIs of our live games and propose strategies to continuously improve them
Coordinate closely with design and development teams, understanding game mechanics and providing essential feedback to improve and refine the product
Prioritize and execute testing tasks efficiently at different development stages, aligning with project timelines and objectives while independently addressing and resolving issues found
Foster an open feedback culture, actively participating in constructive dialogue with team members to facilitate collaboration and innovation
You regularly review the relevant KPIs to ensure the good health of the project, both the perception of our audience and performance-wise quality
Work with our central tech teams on quality-related initiatives.
Manage a QA Engineer junior
3+ years as a QA Engineer in Mobile Games, demonstrating ownership and successful project completion
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take up tasks from start to finish with little assistance and identify and address issues independently and effectively
Reliable self-starter and team player, capable of taking responsibility and contributing positively to team dynamics
Passion for mobile games with insight into the player's perspective and expectations
Proven experience using various testing tools and methodologies for mobile games
Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to various stakeholders effectively
Good understanding of Free-to-Play (F2P) games and game design principles and release management experience are a plus
Fluent English (speaking and writing)
