Qualifications

  • 3-5 ans d'expérience comme Développeur Python avec un code propre et maintenable.
  • Expérience démontrée avec IaC, CI/CD et plateformes cloud (AWS/Azure).
  • Compétences en management et mentorat d'équipes souhaitées.

Recruitment Context

We're hiring a Lead Python Developer to join et strengthen our Commando IT / Generative AI team! The team is responsible for driving cross-functional performance improvements by developing automation solutions and AI-powered applications that have a measurable impact on productivity and revenue generation.

The new hire will benefit from a smooth handover (planned for September).

You will report to Quentin Mangeant , Head of Corporate IT at iBanFirst.

You'll lead the Commando AI team , a cross-functional task force composed of :

  • 1 Junior Developer (hiring to come)

What will you do

You'll lead technical development and contribute hands-on across multiple projects with a measurable impact on internal productivity and business operations.

  • Develop and maintain solutions to improve performance of transversal business units
  • Backend, frontend, infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI / CD development
  • Improve development processes while finding the right balance between rigor, speed and flexibility for software development & research organization
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain containerization and orchestration systems using tools like Docker
  • Document processes and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team
  • Manage 1 FTE and 3x interns and oversee project initiatives, with potential for team expansion based on proven results.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting systems

You'll work closely with internal stakeholders (KYC, Sales, Product, Ops...) to build solutions, including :

  • Client onboarding automation
  • Lead generation from news sources
  • AI-enhanced tools for sales & hedging teams

Tools & Stack :

Role Objectives

In the first 3 months , we expect you to :

  • Take over ongoing projects from our current contractor
  • Understand our architecture and business use cases
  • Start managing the junior developer and interns

Within 6 months :

  • Deliver at least 1 major internal tool upgrade or automation feature
  • Structure and improve development processes & documentation
  • Bring visibility and structure to the team's roadmap and impact

After 12 months :

  • Deliver 1 "speedboat" project per month + 1 major release per quarter
  • Be a key technical leader driving iBanFirst's internal innovation

What do you bring

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Python Developer (clean, maintainable code expected)
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform), CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS and / or Azure)
  • Hands-on with containerization tools (Docker)
  • Strong communication skills : can synthesize , explain tech clearly , and show value
  • Self-motivated and able to work well in a scale up environment (autonomous, reliable, and motivated by impact)
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus)

Nice to have :

  • Understanding of fintech and payment industry is a plus
  • Background in startups
  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI integrations
  • Experience mentoring juniors or managing small teams
