Expert Project Engineer : High Voltage Connector Design (Automotive)

Location : Paris, France or Wolfsburg,Germany | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

This is a unique and pivotal engineering position requiring deep technical insight, physics-based design thinking, and a mentorship mindset offering a state-of-art environment and rewarding career advancements.

The Role :

You will play a strategic role in the development of next-generation high-voltage connector and terminal solutions; critical components in electric and hybrid vehicle platforms.

You’ll be responsible for leading the design and development of high-voltage automotive connectors, with a strong focus on micro-scale precision; working at the level of millimeters to nanometers.

You’ll be involved in selecting materials such as high-performance plastics and stamped metals, applying advanced engineering tools like DFMEA, GD&T, FEA, and tolerance analysis to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

You’ll need to connect physical behavior, like flow and deformation over time to product performance,especially under real-world aging conditions.You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, guiding design decisions, and collaborating across international teams.

  • Expert level knowledge in High-Voltage / High-Current automotive connector design - especially integrating physics-driven decision-making into design development
  • Deep experience in material science , especially plastics for injection molding and metals for stamped parts
  • Advanced application of DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance stack-ups, and CAE methods
  • Strong background and ability to evaluate design trade-offs linked to physical performance (size / material / aging / flow)
  • Ability to present, engage and guide both senior peers and junior enigneers across cultural and disciplinary lines
