Gland Pharma seeks an experienced Production leader to head the Production function for a French manufacturing plant. You will plan and execute manufacturing operations aligned with PPIC schedules, ensuring quality, safety, compliance and continuous improvement across the site.

You will manage resources, drive line efficiency, reduce downtime and coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, QC, QA and PPIC teams to meet production targets while maintaining audit readiness and regulatory

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years in Production/Manufacturing.
  • 5+ years in Injectable/Sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong experience in production planning and execution in line with PPIC schedules.
  • Experience managing shop-floor operations with focus on quality, productivity and safety.
  • Experience leading Production teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of GxP, Data Integrity, audit readiness and shop-floor compliance.
  • Experience in cost optimization, wastage reduction and operational efficiency improvement.
  • Strong experience monitoring Production KPIs and driving performance.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth and compliant manufacturing operations.

Responsabilités

  • Lead day-to-day Production operations for the plant in France and ensure timely execution per PPIC schedules.
  • Ensure operations comply with quality attributes, safety requirements and approved procedures.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, QC, QA, PPIC and other functions to ensure smooth flow of production.
  • Manage resources including manpower, equipment, materials and capacity.
  • Maintain audit readiness and ensure GxP compliance on the shop floor.
  • Drive line efficiency and productivity through coaching and training of the execution team.
  • Identify and reduce production downtime through planning and cross-functional coordination.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Support cost optimization by minimizing wastages across manufacturing operations.
  • Review Production KPIs and drive corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Ensure Data Integrity and regulatory expectations across production operations.
  • Escalate and resolve operational, quality and compliance issues with the reporting authority.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Production team to achieve targets.

Description du poste

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Production professional to lead the Production function for one manufacturing plant in France. The role will be responsible for planning and execution of manufacturing operations in line with business requirements and PPIC schedules, ensuring quality, productivity, safety, compliance, resource optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day Production operations for the plant and ensure timely execution of products as per business requirements and PPIC schedules.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations are carried out in compliance with defined quality attributes, safety requirements and approved procedures.
  • Coordinate with CFTs including Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, QC, QA, PPIC and other functions to ensure smooth flow of manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure effective resource management, including manpower, equipment, materials and production capacity.
  • Maintain continuous audit readiness and ensure GxP compliance and adherence to applicable procedures at the shop floor.
  • Drive improvement in line efficiencies through continuous interaction, coaching and training of the execution team.
  • Identify and reduce production downtime through effective planning, monitoring and coordination with relevant functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, operational efficiency and manufacturing performance.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives by identifying and minimizing wastages at various stages of manufacturing operations.
  • Periodically review Production KPIs and drive corrective and improvement actions to achieve departmental targets.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP requirements, Data Integrity and applicable regulatory expectations across production operations.
  • Identify, escalation and support resolution of operational, quality and compliance-related issues with the reporting authority.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Production team to ensure consistent achievement of production, quality, productivity and safety objectives.

  • Adminstrative Reporting to: Plant Head
  • Functional Reporting to: Group Production Head
Candidate Requirements
  • 10 to 15 years of overall experience in Production / Manufacturing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Injectable / Sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong experience in production planning and execution in accordance with PPIC schedules and business requirements.
  • Experience in managing shop-floor operations with strong focus on quality, productivity and safety.
  • Strong experience in resource management, line efficiency improvement and downtime reduction.
  • Experience in leading Production teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of GxP, Data Integrity, audit readiness and shop-floor compliance requirements.
  • Experience in cost optimization, wastage reduction and operational efficiency improvement.
  • Strong experience in monitoring Production KPIs and driving performance improvement.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and compliant manufacturing operations.
Location & Visa
  • Position is based at our European subsidiary in France.
  • Candidate is expected to be based in France for this role.
  • France work visa support will be facilitated by the organization for the selected candidate.
