Pennylane in Paris is seeking a Lead Payment Operations to own end-to-end payment execution across SEPA transfers, direct debits, cards, and international payments. You will design the operating model, write runbooks, and build the initial team while partnering with Product, Tech, Compliance and Risk to ensure reliable and compliant payment services for French SMEs.

This greenfield role offers high autonomy and direct exposure to a regulatory project, with the chance to shape the payments

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in payments operations or financial operations.
• Experience managing payment incidents and reconciliations.
• Ability to design scalable processes and runbooks.

Responsabilités

• Own the end-to-end operational execution of payment operations across SEPA transfers, direct debits, cards, international transfers, cheques, and cash management.
• Ensure day-to-day reliability of payment operations, including exception handling and incident response.
• Maintain strong auditability of decisions, reconciliations, exceptions and incidents.
• Define and continuously improve the payment operations operating model (processes, SLAs, runbooks, documentation).
• Recruit and onboard the first team members and establish escalation paths and rituals.
