Genesis is seeking a lead engineer to own Quadrants end to end: the API, the IR and lowering, the optimization passes, the numerical primitives, and the roadmap.

The role prioritizes readability and maintainability, enabling performance improvements across CPU and GPU backends while offering low-level escape hatches when needed. You will work closely with Genesis on real workloads and plan future enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Python APIs that are idiomatic and user-friendly.
• Strong understanding of compilers (IR, lowering, optimization) and kernel generation.
• Ability to reason about memory traffic and launch overhead.

Responsabilités

• Own API, IR, lowering & backends; build a stable IR that lowers to multiple backends.
• Lead optimization work to turn naive code into strong execution plans.
• Develop and maintain numerical primitives and benchmarks; guide regression tracking.
• Coordinate with Genesis to push performance improvements and maintainability; expand API while preserving usability.
• Grow into leading a small team in the near term.
