Location : Paris (France), Rotterdam (Netherlands), or Blyth (UK) – with occasional offshore or yard missions

Contract Type : Permanent staff (CDI)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join a high-performing team specialized in offshore cable installation and trenching operations.

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the technical scope of complex subsea projects — from early engineering phases through to execution. You will ensure technical excellence, safety compliance, and seamless coordination with project teams and offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of engineering deliverables : execution plans, calculations, procedures, specifications, and reports
• Define and validate methodologies for cable laying, trenching, and associated operations
• Organize and lead HIRA reviews, ensuring implementation of safety actions
• Supervise equipment readiness and ensure compatibility with offshore requirements
• Represent the company in technical meetings with clients, subcontractors, and third parties
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
• Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience in offshore project engineering, ideally on subsea cable installation scopes
• Deep understanding of cable laying and trenching techniques
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple work packages
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
