Lead ML Engineer - UAV Defence Scale-up - Europe

We have helped them scale their AI teams, and they are continuing to grow!

They now offer a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to lead a team of engineers focused on designing, developing, and deploying ML models that support their real-time intelligence UAV solutions.

This role is initially a 50/50 split between hands-on technical work and leadership/strategy. Previous experience in tech/team leadership of small to medium-sized teams is essential.

The company has a flat structure without unnecessary politics, allowing you to influence strategic decisions directly.

Experience of Interest:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related fields.
• At least 5+ years of industry experience in ML development and deployment.
• Leadership experience with small to medium-sized teams.
• Experience in the UAV, Drone, or Autonomous Systems sector.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, or Rust.
• Experience with TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, TensorRT, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
