Technip Energies is seeking a Lead HVAC Engineer F/M in Paris La Défense to lead the HVAC discipline on major international energy projects. You will manage the HVAC team, ensure technical deliverables, and coordinate with Project Management and multiple engineering disciplines on EPC initiatives, including offshore facilities and decarbonization projects.

The role requires a Master’s degree in HVAC Engineering, 15+ years in industrial HVAC, and strong leadership and communication skills to work

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in HVAC Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in industrial HVAC engineering.
  • Experience on international Oil & Gas projects.
  • HVAC design experience for offshore facilities.
  • Coordination and leadership of HVAC engineering teams on EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and regulations for HVAC.

We are currently seeking a Lead HVAC Engineer F/M to join our Equipment Department team based in Paris La Défense, France.

About Your Team

Within the engineering division of Technip Energies' Paris office, you will report to the Equipment Department.

With 60 years' experience in energy project design, the division is made up of more than 600 people representing all the disciplines present on our installations (>20).

About the mission we offer you

You will participate in the engineering and design of projects carried out by TEN France for the Group's various Business Lines, decarbonized solutions (Carbon capture, H2, Wind), LNG or biofuels. On these predominantly international projects, you will interface with other discipline teams within Technip Energies (Project Management, Procurement, Construction) as well as with our mainly international partners.

You will serve as the HVAC Discipline Lead, assuming both technical accountability for the discipline and operational leadership of the HVAC engineering team assigned to the project.

Responsibilities

Job Description :

  • Organizational management of the HVAC engineering team assigned to a project
  • Technical responsibility for the HVAC discipline on the project, with the support of discipline experts
  • Reporting to Project Management and the Department Manager
  • Production and validation of discipline deliverables
  • Monitoring of the discipline man‑hour budget, schedule, and productivity
  • Deployment of quality processes and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and contractual requirements
  • Definition of HVAC design philosophies and associated design criteria
  • Preparation and technical supervision of technical specifications, calculation reports, and preliminary design drawings
  • Supervision of designers and draftspersons for the production of discipline drawings, schematics, and 3D models
  • Preparation of invitation‑to‑bid packages and technical evaluation of supplier and subcontractor proposals
  • Technical follow‑up of HVAC subcontractors, including coordination activities, interface management, and review of technical deliverables
  • Coordination with Architecture, Piping & Layout, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, HSE, Construction, and other engineering disciplines
  • Management of technical interfaces with clients and project partners

  • Key interface with Project Management, Clients, Partners, Engineering Disciplines, and Procurement for all HVAC-related matters
  • Involvement in major Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas, LNG, and Energy Transition projects

About you

  • Master's Degree in HVAC Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Energy Engineering, or an equivalent university qualification
  • More than 15 years of experience in industrial HVAC engineering
  • Significant experience gained on international Oil & Gas projects
  • Proven experience in the design of HVAC systems for offshore facilities
  • Demonstrated experience in the coordination and operational management of HVAC engineering teams on EPC projects
  • Strong experience in the technical follow‑up of suppliers and engineering subcontractors
  • Good knowledge of international codes, standards, and regulations applicable to industrial HVAC systems
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments, leveraging strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities, combined with excellent interpersonal skills, will be key factors for success in this role
  • A high level of proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential to work effectively within our teams and interact with our international clients, suppliers, and partners
