Job summary

The Exploration Company seeks a High-Thrust Engine Lead to steer Stormdevelopment activities and manage a geographically distributed team of engineers and technicians. You will guide propulsion system design for cryogenic rocket engines, oversee requirements, budgets, and cross-functional interfaces while collaborating with business, sales, and manufacturing to align with space transportation goals.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master of Science or PhD) in propulsion engineering, system engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in systems engineering or spacecraft development roles.
• Strong understanding of cryogenic rocket engines and cryogenic propulsive systems.
• Demonstrated experience in managing requirements, interfaces, and technical budgets.
• Strong leadership and management skills, capable of leading a geographically distributed team and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of engineers and technicians, directing work and setting goals.
• Leading the hiring process, defining needs and onboarding newcomers.
• Supporting and challenging the team in design choices and development logic.
• Overseeing planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
