Job summary
Octopus Energy Group is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to supervise air source heat pump installations in the Amiens area, with field visits and remote work as needed. You’ll lead technical setup, validate installations with partners, and resolve on-site issues to deliver a top-tier customer experience.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in heat pump installs, strong plumbing/heating knowledge, and the ability to review technical drawings.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience installing and maintaining air source heat pump systems.
- Happy to travel around the Amiens region.
- Experience as plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and fault finding.
- Experience reviewing and challenging technical specifications & drawings.
Responsibilities
- Set up the technical arm of our heat pump department in France.
- Ensure quality and proper functioning of installations by local partners.
- Visit construction sites to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide technical support to resolve on-site issues.
- Adopt a troubleshooter mindset to find solutions.
- Use heat pump knowledge to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Share low-carbon advice with customers.
- Review and collaborate on technical specs and drawings.
