The Group :

The ADI’s Custom Silicon & Consumer Solutions (CSS) team leads in sensing, signal processing, and power solutions, including Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, Optical Sensing, Audio, PMIC, and hybrid mixed-signal/power developments, driving growth in our portable consumer business.

The Business :

Our CSS business has been a key provider of high-volume consumer silicon solutions for over a decade, developing products that enable precise human interpretation and sensory assistance. We are expanding our CSS layout team to support the development of integrated power solutions and PMICs, offering excellent career development opportunities within a motivated global engineering team.

The Position : ADI is seeking a LEAD DESIGNER, LAYOUT to join our European CSS Layout Team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, eager to learn new technologies, and capable of working effectively in a talented, multi-location team of Analog, Digital, Mixed-Signal CMOS designers, Mask Layout designers, Verification and Validation engineers, and others. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Top Level Integration: Managing large-scale mixed-signal and PMIC chip integration, coordinating between IP owners, and ensuring verification sign-off.
  • IP Development: Executing mask layout design, collaborating with IP designers, and managing layout of large IP/sub-systems including scheduling and documentation.
  • Human Resources: Promoting continuous learning, providing mentorship, and supporting project management and resource planning.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso IC61 / IC18 / IC20, VXL, Mentor Graphics Calibre, and experience with floorplanning, top-down methodologies, LVS/DRC/ERC interpretation, and layout practices such as noise management, parasitics, and ESD considerations.
  • Strong organizational, communication skills, and ability to work in a global team environment.
  • Scripting skills in PERL or SKILL are advantageous.

Key Qualifications :

  • BSc in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in IC Layout.
  • Scripting skills in PERL, SKILL, or AMPLE are a plus.
  • Effective team player in multi-disciplinary, multicultural, and multi-site environments.
