Purpose

We are currently looking for a Database Expert to design, develop, install, optimize, and support databases within our projects.

The target environments for Database Management Systems (DBMS) at IDEMIA are:

• Oracle on Linux: 70%
• SQL Server on Windows: 5%
• MongoDB and Cassandra: 5%

Key Missions

As a Database Expert, you will assist us in:

- Being the focal point for databases (DBMS) in projects and products, working closely with architecture teams.
- Participating in database installation, configuration, optimization, including associated options and backup/restore solutions.
- Conducting version migrations of DBMS and other actions requiring deep expertise.
- Providing technical support for projects and products, as well as tuning database performance.
- Implementing data security measures, including hardening, encryption, and data segregation.
- Conducting technological surveillance on DBMS to anticipate changes and explore new solutions.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of administration, backup/restore, monitoring, and installation tools, while fostering the Database Technical Expertise Community.

You will ensure your success if you have:

- Strong experience in database administration, particularly Oracle/PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with Agile methodology.
- Diverse database experiences (development/support/design [...]).
- Skills to manage databases with significant data volume.
- Proficiency in English.

Even better if you have:

- Proficiency in MongoDB.
- Proficiency in Spanish, in addition to English.
