Conexus is seeking a hands-on Lead Data Engineer in Paris for a freelance engagement until 31 December 2026, with potential extension. Start date ASAP. You will design and build a new data platform supporting website analytics and consumer engagement within a global consumer healthcare organisation.

You will work on data pipelines, modelling, and solution architecture, using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and collaborating with stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Formación

• 7+ years of data engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on Databricks, dbt, SQL and Python required.
• Experience building end-to-end data platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance and historised modelling.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing.
• Ability to design architecture while coding.
• Excellent stakeholder communication; Agile environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build data pipelines, models and semantic layers using Databricks and dbt.
• Integrate website and consumer engagement data from sources including GA4, SEO tools and server logs.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes, transformations and orchestration using Python, SQL and Apache Airflow.
• Define and document the target architecture, data models and integration approach.
• Establish data quality, testing, Git and CI/CD standards.
• Lead hands-on delivery while estimating resource requirements and coordinating a small team.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement monitoring, support processes and a sustainable operational model.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, to improve engineering efficiency.

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Data Engineer to design and build a new data platform supporting website analytics and consumer engagement within a global consumer healthcare organisation.

This is a technically focused role combining data engineering, modelling and solution architecture, with the opportunity to use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery. You will work closely with business stakeholders and a small delivery team to turn multiple data sources into a reliable, automated and well-governed data product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines, models and semantic layers using Databricks and dbt.

• Integrate website and consumer engagement data from sources including GA4, SEO tools and server logs.

• Develop ETL/ELT processes, transformations and orchestration using Python, SQL and Apache Airflow.

• Define and document the target architecture, data models and integration approach.

• Establish data quality, testing, Git and CI/CD standards.

• Lead hands-on delivery while estimating resource requirements and coordinating a small team.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, modelling or a similar technical data role.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks, dbt, SQL and Python.

• Experience with Apache Airflow, data pipelines, ETL/ELT and data integration.

• Experience designing and delivering a data platform or data mart end to end.

• Knowledge of historised data modelling, semantic layers and data governance.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing and AI-assisted development.

• Ability to design and justify technical architecture while remaining hands-on with development.

• Strong stakeholder communication skills and experience working in Agile environments.

Desirable

• Consumer healthcare, CPG or digital marketing data experience.

• Exposure to GA4, SEO analytics, Power BI or AI-search visibility.

• Experience with agentic AI workflows, RAG or AI-ready data infrastructure.

• French language skills.
