Job Title: Technical Safety Engineering Services

Location: PARIS or LONDON during FEED (FEED contractor will be based in UK - LONDON) and then at EPC contractor location.

Language: English mandatory

MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS

The service holder shall be involved in the ABSHERON FFD FEED and will be responsible for all technical safety studies, especially process safety engineering and operational requirements, including adherence to company and international standards (e.g., NFPA, API).

The service holder will provide company-wide technical guidance during the design of CPF facilities, ensuring adequacy of design, operations, and maintenance. They will initiate and participate in studies to resolve specific technological challenges.

During FEED, the service holder will oversee the timely and on-budget delivery of FEED scope and actively participate in EPC CFT preparation. They may also be involved during the pre-feed extension.

This work will be performed in accordance with JOCAP, Client, OneTech, and Project rules, guidelines, and procedures.

ACTIVITIES

The service holder must possess strong experience in technical safety, capable of identifying, controlling, and managing risks related to their scope, and highlighting opportunities. This includes adherence to the Company Code of Conduct, Vision, Values, and Behaviours, supported by the Safe System of Working and Accountability of Safety.

  • Review contractual documents related to their discipline.
  • Participate in inter-discipline document checks.
  • Review hazard identification and consequence evaluation exercises.
  • Review safety studies (EER, dropped object, flare radiation...).
  • Participate in and review hazardous area classification drawings.
  • Review and comment on fire and gas matrix, safety appliance locations, escape routes, and fire protection/detection systems.
  • Coordinate documentation for safety reviews (HAZID, FIREPRAN, HAZOP, SIL...) and produce safety review reports.
  • Guide the design of fire protection and detection systems, EER systems, and assist hydraulic studies of fire water systems.
  • Review data sheets, requisitions, perform bid evaluations for fire protection equipment and life-saving appliances, and assist layout definition.
  • Assist in risk analysis and reliability studies, review noise control activities.
  • Ensure correct implementation of HSE aspects in design and vendor documentation through audits and reviews.
  • Be aware of Client HSE Standards.
  • Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Possess knowledge of environmental principles, practices, laws, regulations, and current legislative issues.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT

The Absheron Gas & Condensates field is located offshore Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea, approximately 100 km southeast of Baku. The project supplies natural gas for domestic and international markets via the South Caucasus Pipeline.
