Job Title: Technical Safety Engineering Services

Location: PARIS or LONDON during FEED, then at EPC contractor location. The FEED contractor will be based in London, UK.

Language: English mandatory

MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS

The service holder shall be involved in the ABSHERON FFD FEED, overseeing all technical safety studies, particularly process safety engineering and operational requirements, including adherence to company and international standards (e.g., NFPA, API).

They will provide technical guidance during design related to CPF facilities, ensuring design, operations, and maintenance adequacy. The role includes initiating and participating in studies to resolve technological challenges.

During FEED, they will oversee the timely and budget-compliant delivery of FEED scope and actively participate in EPC CFT preparation. The service holder may also be involved during the pre-feed extension.

This work will be performed in accordance with JOCAP and the Client, OneTech, and Project rules, guidelines, and procedures.

ACTIVITIES

The candidate must have strong experience in technical safety, capable of risk identification, control, management, and opportunity highlighting, aligned with the Company Code of Conduct, Vision, Values, and Behaviours, supported by the Safe System of Working including Accountability of Safety.

  • Review contractual documents related to their discipline.
  • Participate in inter-discipline document checks.
  • Review hazard identification and consequence evaluation exercises.
  • Review safety studies (EER, dropped object, flare radiation, etc.).
  • Participate in hazardous area classification reviews.
  • Review fire and gas safety matrices and drawings, including fire protection and detection systems.
  • Coordinate safety review documentation (HAZID, FIREPRAN, HAZOP, SIL) and produce safety review reports.
  • Guide design of fire protection and fire detection systems, EER systems, and assist hydraulic studies of fire water systems.
  • Review data sheets, requisitions, and evaluate bids for fire protection equipment and life-saving appliances, assisting in layout definition.
  • Contribute to risk and reliability studies, review noise control activities.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of HSE aspects in design and vendor documentation through audits and reviews.
  • Be familiar with Client HSE Standards.
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Possess knowledge of environmental principles, practices, laws, regulations, and relevant legislative issues.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT

The Absheron Gas & Condensates field offshore Azerbaijan is located in the Caspian Sea at 500 meters depth, approximately 100 km southeast of Baku. The project supplies natural gas for domestic and export markets via the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP).
