Job summary

Tesla is seeking a Lead Operator to join the Cathode production team. You will work with the Supervisor to run daily shift operations and provide S5-level technical leadership across plant areas. You will coordinate crews, handle complex tasks, and ensure high-quality handovers on shift.

You will train others, solve on-floor problems, and support maintenance activities while communicating effectively with the team and Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience leading shift operations in chemical/cathode production.
• Able to interpret process information and equipment status.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Teams for scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and troubleshoot field and console operations across all plant areas.
• Ensure process stability, trial accuracy, and quality of production output on shift.
• Coordinate, maintain and complete shift assignments and plant work.
• Escalate issues to the Supervisor with practical solutions.
• Support maintenance and Supervisor activities including schedule review and resource allocation.
• Train and provide technical leadership for operators and trainees on equipment and processes.
