Job Description
The Role
The main responsibilities of the Asset Lead involve organizing, planning, and overseeing the execution of all CG assets for Game Cinematic and Commercial projects. You will work hands-on and oversee the construction of props, vehicles, stylized characters, creatures, photoreal humans, FACS blendshapes, and environmental work. You will focus on hero assets like characters and creatures, providing supervision. Your portfolio must showcase exceptional artistic skill. Collaboration with teams in Los Angeles, Europe, and India is essential, especially leveraging time zone overlaps for efficient workflow. A drive for artistic and technical excellence within a collaborative team is highly valued.
The assets department handles model creation, texturing, lookdev, and rigging. The Asset Lead should have expertise in generating clean geometry for various outputs, including rigging, simulation, photorealistic rendering, and real-time game engines. Collaboration with supervisors and department heads ensures assets meet project and client needs, following best practices and pipeline standards.
Experience with real-time engines like Unreal Engine, Unity, and Frostbite is highly desirable.
