KBR – Delivering Solutions, Changing the World is seeking a DG BOSS: LCM Deckhand (FN) to handle mooring, loading, and boat operations in support of Navy and contract requirements. The role covers deckhand duties, safety procedures, and collaboration with divers and U/W teams in a constrained lagoon environment.

The position requires English proficiency, completion of LCM deckhand OJT, and medical/CPR qualifications. A high school education is expected, with maritime training preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must speak, read and understand English.
  • Must complete OJT for LCM Deckhands, including oil spill training.
  • Must have knowledge in Boat Handling and Seamanship Skill, basic radio communications and use of firefighting equipment.
  • Must have knowledge in Medical First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Must pass 2nd Class Swimmer qualification level.
  • Must pass the overseas medical screening and be in good health.

Responsabilités

  • Handles and secures mooring and towing lines during berthing/unberthing of craft and part of LCM crew.
  • Deploys and maintains HP fender backing boards, towing of HP fenders, and mooring buoys.
  • Retrieves/deploys STASS cable and supports submarine towing operations.
  • Assists Navy UCT or diver teams for inspections and hull work.
  • Participates in oil spill drills and facility response training.
  • Operates look-out and radio systems to support safe vessel movement.
  • Provides first aid and CPR to passengers as needed.
