Phagos is on a mission to create a cleaner, more sustainable future by using bacteria’s natural predator, the bacteriophage, to win the fight against antibiotic resistance and to cure infectious diseases in animal farming.

To make our vision a reality, we are looking for excellent lab technicians excited to join our team.
You will support Phagos’ R&D team and play a major role in the company’s fate and success.

Under the supervision of a research scientist, you will develop and execute innovative projects, applying phage therapy’s most advanced techniques to animal farming and participating in broadening Phagos’ applications and research expertise.

Responsibilities

1. Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
2. Microbiology (bacteria cultivation, phage isolation and characterization).
3. Collaborate with research scientists and other team members to support ongoing projects and help design phage therapy against bacteria of interest.
4. Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
5. Support the development, optimization, scale up, and validation of new protocols.
6. Record and analyze data, maintaining detailed and accurate laboratory records.

Requirements

1. Experience in microbiology techniques.
2. Ability and willingness to work within a fast-paced, adaptive, collaborative environment.
3. Knowledge/experience in phage biology is a plus.
4. Self-starter and problem solver.
5. Meticulous and organized.
6. Minimum B2 English level (written and spoken).
