Our client is an award-winning digital product studio based in Los Angeles, specializing in building scalable and user-centric web and mobile applications. They partner with startups, non-profits, and global organizations to bring high-impact products to life.

Project Overview

Our client is currently rebuilding a mobile app for a U.S.-based radio station and is seeking an experienced Kotlin Developer for a 3-week contract. The primary goal is to implement and support Android Auto integration for audio streaming—an essential feature not natively available in React Native.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a seamless and user-friendly audio streaming interface for Android Auto.

• Collaborate with Goji’s React Native engineers to bridge integration across platforms.

• Optimize performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve bugs.

• Maintain clean, well-documented, and testable code.

• Participate in cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and development teams.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience building Android Auto audio-streaming applications using Kotlin.

• Strong knowledge of media streaming services and Android Auto/Android for Cars ecosystem.

• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and Git-based version control.

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  
  

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

• Understanding of React Native or other frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

• Previous experience in Agile/Scrum teams or software studios.
