IXO is seeking a QA transcription auditor to compare human or AI transcripts against audio, assign pass/fail results with clear English explanations, and highlight critical defects first.

You will check word segment boundaries, adjust timing, split or merge segments, insert or remove words as needed, and distinguish true acoustic uncertainty from annotation errors under a written rubric. Remote work is available with USD 30/hr pay.

Qualifications

• Korean fluency at native or near-native level with five years of residency in a region where that variety dominates.
• Strong English reading and writing are required for the rulebook, error codes and explanations.
• Ability to hear fine sound differences and follow word boundaries with detailed rubrics.

Responsibilities

• Compare human or AI speech with its transcript and apply every relevant error category.
• Assign a pass/fail result with a clear English explanation, presenting critical defects first.
• Check the beginning and end of each word segment against the audio.
• Correct timing, split or combine segments, insert missing words or remove empty segments where appropriate.
• Distinguish genuine acoustic uncertainty from an annotation error, applying the written rules consistently.

Requirements

• You need native or near-native command of Korean as used in South Korea. You must either have grown up in a region where that variety is dominant, or be fully fluent with at least five years of residence in such a region.
• Strong English reading and writing are required for the rulebook, error codes and explanations.
• You should hear fine sound differences, follow continuous word boundaries and apply detailed rubrics over repeated judgments.
• Prior transcription, subtitling, localization, annotation or QA is valuable. Linguistics, phonetics, waveform tools or earlier AI-evaluation work are helpful rather than mandatory.
