LOEWE is seeking a Knitwear Pre collection Product Development Manager in Paris. The role leads the full product development lifecycle for Preco and Capsule knitwear, ensuring alignment with the creative direction and on-time delivery through close collaboration with Design, Merchandising, and production teams.

The candidate will manage yarn sourcing, tech packs, BOMs, and supplier relations, driving cost efficiency and ethical practices while maintaining Loewe's quality and sustainability

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of knitwear construction, yarns, gauges, manufacturing processes, technical specifications, pattern making, and fitting.
  • Essential proficiency in PLM systems for codification and BOM management (or similar).
  • Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

  • Lead End-to-End Knitwear Development for Preco & Capsules, from concept to industrialization.
  • Collaborate with Design, Merchandising and Head of Knitwear PD to ensure timely sample delivery within budget.
  • Manage development budgets and critical path timelines and mentor the team.
  • Create clear tech packs with specifications, measurements and construction notes.
  • Negotiate costs and lead times with manufacturers during development phase to optimize efficiency.

THE ROLE

Role: Knitwear Pre collection Product Development Manager

Reports to: Head of Knitwear PD

Permanent role, CDI

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Knitwear Development (Preco & Capsules):

  • Lead the entire product development lifecycle for Preco and Capsules knitwear collections, from initial concept through industrialization, aligning with the creative director's vision.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Merchandising and Head of, to ensure timely delivery of samples and collections within budget.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle up to industrialization, including yarn sourcing, technical specifications, prototyping, and fitting.
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve potential industrialization challenges, ensuring products are fully ready for a seamless and comprehensive handover to production teams.
  • Manage development budgets and critical path timelines, ensuring all milestones are met.
Technical Documentation & Product Coherence:
  • Create clear and precise technical packs (tech packs) for development launches, including detailed specifications, measurements, and construction notes.
  • Ensure the coherence and integrity of the product from design concept to industrialization, translating creative intent into clear technical indications for suppliers and production.
  • Ensure all knitwear products consistently meet Loewe's quality and sustainability standards, technical requirements, and aesthetic guidelines.
Technical Expertise & Data Management:
  • Provide expert guidance on knitwear construction, knitting and finishing techniques, and troubleshoot development issues.
  • Manage PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) codification, ensuring accurate entry and maintenance of all product data.
  • Oversee the codification and management of Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy and completeness for industrialization.
  • Work with existing and new suppliers to develop innovative knitwear techniques and materials.
  • Working closely with the head of, negotiate costs and lead times with manufacturers during the development phase to optimize efficiency and future production.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, focusing on innovative development, cost efficiency, and ethical practices.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to ethical and sustainable practices.
Budget & Timeline Management:
  • Manage development budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Develop and maintain critical path timelines, ensuring all development milestones are met.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of one Knitwear Developer and one Knitwear Assistant.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and oversee team progress to ensure development milestones are met.
QUALIFICATION
Experience:
  • Minimum 5-7 years in knitwear product development or product management within a luxury fashion/high-end apparel brand, with proven expertise in the full product lifecycle from concept through industrialization handover.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of knitwear construction, yarns, gauges, manufacturing processes, technical specifications, pattern making, and fitting.
  • Essential proficiency in PLM systems for codification and BOM management (or similar).
  • Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Full professional English language is essential; Italian is a significant advantage.
