Anglo African is seeking a Junior Systems Specialist to support server and storage hardware installations and Unix/Linux systems. You will assist the System Specialist, perform health checks, and prepare reports while engaging in customer trainings as required.

You may contribute to pre-sales activities, tender proposals, and site surveys, with a readiness to work odd hours and travel as needed. Fresh graduates or those with up to 6 months of experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Willingness to work odd hours, weekends, public holidays.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
• Fresh graduates or up to 6 months' experience is a plus.
• Good communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist the System Specialist and/or technician in planning and execution of work.
• Install and provide support on Servers and Storage Hardware; Unix/Linux OS like Redhat, CentOS and others.
• Perform health checks on installed systems and prepare reports.
• Provide customer trainings as needed.
• Assist in pre-sales activities including tender preparation and quotes.
• Carry out site surveys and prepare material lists and requirements.
• Contribute to teamwork and adhere to international IT installation standards.
• Pursue ongoing technical training and safety principles.
