UL LLC is seeking a Software Implementation consultant in our Configuration group to support and configure our Wire and Cable software for customers. The role includes UI configuration, SQL/JavaScript/XML development, and customer relationship building in a hybrid setup across multiple European offices.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of software implementation or support experience, strong English, and fluency in French or German, plus a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in software implementation or support.
• Strong English communication with fluency in French or German.
• Degree-level education preferred.
• Experience building data collection forms with XML.
• Experience with SQL and web-based applications.
• Excellent relationship-building and customer-facing skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide support to existing clients including report generation at critical times.
• Advise and assist the client in maintaining and enhancing their application.
• Configure the system using the UI per defined requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve configuration issues.
• Attend customer meetings and maintain professional image.
• Provide status updates and highlight risks to supervisor.
• Serve as the main contact for key customers.
• Build and maintain custom forms using XML/SQL build scripts.

This exciting role as a Software Implementation consultant in our Configuration group will work as part of a team to support and configure our Wire and Cable software for our customers.

This role focuses on:

• UI based configuration elements of the Implementation

• More technical elements of the Implementation which will require knowledge of SQL, JavaScript and authoring of data collection forms using XML

• Supporting our customers and relationship building

We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent English skills, combined with fluency in either French or German. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the EMEA region and contribute to a dynamic, multicultural team.

Consultancy and Configuration

• Provide support to existing clients including report generation at critical times of the year

• Advise and assist the client in maintaining and enhancing their application

• Configure the system as per the defined requirements using the system user interface

• Work with technical teams to resolve system and configuration issues

• Attend customer meetings and calls as and when required in support of larger implementation project, ensuring a professional image at all times

• Provide status updates, highlight risks and issues to supervisor (within the project and/or people manager)

Dedicated Consultancy:

• Advise and assist the client in maintaining and enhancing their application

• Serve as the main point of contact for key customers

Techincal Configuration:

• Build and maintain custom forms using XML/SQL build scripts

Skills Required/Desired:

• Minimum commercial experience of 2 years. Experience in software implementation and / or support, a plus.

• Strong academic background in a relevant discipline e.g. computer science, engineering, sustainability or equivalent also a plus.

• The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent.

• Strong communication skills in English are essential, together with fluency in either French or German to support collaboration across the EMEA region.

Required skills, knowledge and characteristics based on responsibilities:

• A high level of numeracy

• Strong working knowledge of Excel required

• Detail-oriented and analytical thinking

• Familiarity with web-based applications

• Ability to learn new software applications rapidly

• Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills as this is a customer-facing role

• Previous experience working in teams for project delivery, a plus

• Previous experience in a customer facing role, a plus

Techincal Configuration:

• Experience with relational databases and use of SQL

• Working knowledge of XML is ideal

Salary range varies by location and local market conditions - for Poland only: the annual salary range for this position is 100,000-130,000 PLN gross - and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for additional incentive with a target payout of 10% of base salary.
