Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Junior Retail Designer or recent graduate to join our creative team. In this role, you will learn the fundamentals of retail design, develop your creativity through drawings, mock-ups, materials research, and project follow-up. You will report to a Design Manager responsible for the creative vision and project execution.

Role Requirements

1. Understand project requirements and concepts
2. Develop your creativity and skills
3. Learn to do things the Malherbe way
4. Produce design elements necessary for project delivery

Responsibilities

• Shadow a senior designer and join a creative team on projects
• Pitch creative ideas aligned with the art direction
• Conduct research and produce moodboards
• Learn interior and furniture design production processes
• Draw by hand to illustrate creative ideas
• Produce 2D and 3D images, plans
• Research materials and vendors
• Develop your creative vision and industry knowledge

Qualities & Characteristics

• Master’s degree in Design, Interior Design, or Architecture
• Creative and passionate
• Ability to sketch and draw interior spaces, objects, and furniture
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp
• Knowledge of retail design norms and vocabulary
• Professional English
• Autonomous, proactive, and organized
• Team player and collaborator
