LexisNexis Risk Solutions offers an internship with ICIS in its Carbon Analytics team in Paris. The six‑month program focuses on building data analytics and visualization tools, forecasting models and handling large datasets to drive market insights in European carbon markets.

You will collaborate with quantitative analysts and other energy teams, receive mentorship, and gain hands‑on experience with AI tools for coding, market research and productivity during a 6‑month internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Industrial Engineering, Financial Engineering, Data Engineering, or an equivalent field.

Carbon Analytics Intern – 6-Month Internship

About the role

Are you passionate about data, coding and energy markets? Would you like to apply your quantitative skills to real-world market challenges?

We are looking for an ambitious and analytical student to join our Carbon Analytics team for a 6-month internship.

The European carbon market is one of the world’s largest and fastest-evolving commodity markets, influencing significant trading and investment decisions across the energy and industrial sectors.

During this internship, you will work alongside experienced analysts, contribute to data-driven projects and develop tools and research used by market participants across Europe.

You will ideally have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Financial Engineering, Data Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
• Programming experience in Python and SQL.
• Strong communication and writing skills in English.
• Confidence in handling and visualising large datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to take initiative.
• An interest in energy markets, particularly European carbon markets.
