We are hiring a Junior Project Manager

Our mission is to streamline and accelerate the adoption of open source across the global enterprise technology market. Our Project Managers are responsible for ensuring project success by owning, driving, communicating, and engaging all stakeholders with integrity and accountability.

Within a portfolio of projects involving complex and evolving software technologies, customer and partner satisfaction depends on exceptional Project Managers who respect and engage all stakeholders.

The role entails:
  1. Ensuring programs and projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, and resource expectations.
  2. Supporting the identification of key technical and project risks and issues, and implementing mitigating actions.
  3. Maintaining a strong customer focus and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  4. Conducting regular status meetings and business reviews with customers.
  5. Supporting the delivery schedule of critical third-party deliverables.
  6. Advocating for appropriate technologies from Canonical's portfolio to customers.
What we are looking for in you:

The successful candidate will have a solid academic background in science, software engineering, or information technology, with excellent communication skills in English and a solution-oriented mindset. You should be proactive, professional, and possess effective negotiation skills, with demonstrated leadership during your academic career.

  • Exceptional academic record from high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling alternative narrative.
  • Confidence to communicate openly, share feedback, and exchange ideas.
  • Proven ability to exceed expectations and achieve outstanding results.
  • Passion for technology demonstrated through personal projects or initiatives.
  • Strong work ethic and confidence to collaborate with motivated colleagues.
  • Professional-level written and spoken English, with excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Appreciation for diversity, politeness, and effectiveness in a multicultural environment.
  • Thoughtfulness, self-motivation, and result-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks.
