Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with IEC 62443.
• Strong understanding of OT/industrial cybersecurity.

• Ability to understand and evaluate complex technical environments.
• Fluent spoken English; fluent written English with ability to produce technical docs.

Responsabilités

• Identify cybersecurity risks with shipowners, yards and manufacturers and improve system resilience.

We are recruiting for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a leading international organisation operating at the intersection of engineering, technology, maritime infrastructure and safety.

The organisation works with major players across the maritime industry, including shipowners, shipyards and technology/equipment manufacturers, helping them assess, certify and improve the cybersecurity and resilience of increasingly connected vessels and maritime systems.

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging, international projects where OT, IT, industrial cybersecurity and connected systems come together.

The Role

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will work as part of a specialist cybersecurity team, providing technical expertise across a range of maritime and industrial cybersecurity projects.

Your work will include:

• Assessing and certifying OT/IT cybersecurity architectures for ships, both under construction and already in service.
• Assessing the cyber resilience of connected and industrial equipment against recognised international cybersecurity standards.
• Working with shipowners, shipyards and equipment manufacturers to identify cybersecurity risks and improve the resilience of their systems.
• Conducting cybersecurity assessments and technical studies, including onboard assessments where required.
• Advising clients on cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies and best practices.
• Supporting the development and delivery of cybersecurity training for technical experts and international teams.
• Monitoring the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape and keeping up to date with emerging technologies, vulnerabilities and industry standards.
• Working on international projects alongside multidisciplinary engineering and technology teams.

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in industrial / OT cybersecurity and a strong understanding of the challenges created by increasing connectivity between IT and OT environments.

• 2+ years' hands-on experience of IEC 62443.
• Strong understanding of OT / industrial cybersecurity.
• Experience with cybersecurity risk assessment, security architecture or cyber resilience.
• Ability to understand and assess complex technical environments.
• Fluent spoken English.
• Fluent written English, including the ability to produce and review technical documentation in English.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ideally:

• 2+ years' experience ideally within the maritime, industrial, transportation, energy or other critical infrastructure sectors.
• Experience working with connected/embedded systems.
• Knowledge of additional cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
• Experience conducting technical assessments, audits or certification activities.
• Experience working with international clients or multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What You'll Be Working On

The projects are focused on helping the maritime industry respond to the increasing digitalisation and connectivity of modern vessels.

You could be working on the cybersecurity architecture of new-build commercial vessel, assessing the resilience of connected onboard equipment, supporting a shipowner with improving its cyber posture, or carrying out an on-site technical assessment.

You will have the opportunity to work across both strategic cybersecurity assessments and hands-on technical engineering challenges, while developing expertise in a specialist and rapidly evolving area of cybersecurity.

Location & Travel

The position is based in La Défense, Paris, with occasional short-term travel within France and internationally.
