Description du poste

Scope

The Direct Material Buyer is responsible for managing sourcing, resourcing, contract execution, and supplier performance for an assigned set of commodities and supplier relationships. The Buyer contributes to defining the Commodity Strategy.

The Direct Material Buyer will interact with various stakeholders at Stellantis (Engineering, Program Team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk Management, Purchasing Finance, Accounting, Cost Engineers, etc.) to coordinate actions for managing Requests for Quotations or Contract Execution.

Activities

In accordance with Stellantis Code of Conduct (Ethics & Compliance), the buyer is accountable for the following activities:

  • Contribute to the Commodity Strategy of their perimeter
  • Prepare and manage RFQ (Request for Quotation) in line with the Bidlist defined through the commodity strategy
  • Make supplier Recommendations (REC) during Sourcing Table decision meetings
  • Generate the Purchase Agreement (contract) based on the supplier selection (REC)
  • Ensure contract execution, quality, logistics, development performance, and capacity increase
  • Manage escalation levels with suppliers for quality, logistics, and obsolescence, when needed
  • Prepare, manage, and execute resourcing
  • Manage and negotiate purchasing performance using available levers such as commercial performance, Monozokuri, Value Optimization (VO), and raw material indexation/optimization
  • Coordinate and prepare various business reviews with suppliers
  • Handle administrative tasks related to these activities (Purchase orders, amendments, etc.)
  • Manage reporting (e.g., Performance roadmap)
Main Deliverables
  • Supplier recommendations based on sourcing timing, cost targets, and commodity strategy
  • Elaboration and signing of Purchase Agreements and General Terms & Conditions (GT&Cs)
  • Economic performance, including VO, aligned with Division and Commodity Group targets
  • Resourcing recommendations aligned with Division and Commodity Group targets
  • Quality, logistics, and Vehicle Off Road (VOR) performance in line with Purchasing Division targets
  • All related business administration
