Location: Biot, France

Profile

The primary responsibility of the Junior Accountant, based in Biot, South of France, is to support the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule. Facilitate the monthly close procedures and analyze revenues, commissions, and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.

Main Responsibilities

• Support outsourced daily accounting of the French entity
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Handle daily accounting of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables
• Pre-approve digitalized travel expense reports
• Support the Senior Accountant in month-end reporting internally and externally
• Assist in the corporate budget process
• Participate in the yearly audit of the entities

Competencies & Critical Skills

• Understanding of accounting theory
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and accounting software
• Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and external agencies

Experience in hotel and hospitality environment is desirable.

Education

• At least one year of experience in a similar role
• 3 to 5 years of higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Fluent in French and German
