PROFILE

The primary responsibility of the Junior Accountant based in Biot, South of France, is to support the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule. Facilitate the monthly close procedures and analyze revenues, commissions, and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately each month.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support outsourced daily accounting of French entity
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Daily accounting of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables
• Pre-approve digitalized travel expense tool
• Support the Senior Accountant in communicating month-end reporting internally and externally
• Assist in the corporate budget process
• Participate in the yearly audit of the entities

COMPETENCIES & CRITICAL SKILLS

Main Competencies:

• Understanding of accounting theory
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and accounting software
• Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
• Experience in hotel and hospitality environment is desirable

Education:

• At least one year of experience in a similar position
• 3 to 5 years of higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• French and German language skills required
