Offer Description

Position is funded by a grant from the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR). The project aims at exploring original photoinitiators for radical chemistry and photopolymerization. The synthesis of oximes-esters, oximes-oxalates and oxime glyoxylates will be reached through a short multi-steps synthesis with the aim to target visible-light absorbing molecules. Alkoxyamines will also be synthesized for their ability to trigger thermal and photo-cleavage.

Skills/Qualifications

• The position will involve carrying out the synthesis of organic molecules and the use of a wide range of techniques for the physical-chemical characterization of supramolecular complexes (NMR, UV-Vis and ITC).
• Assist in the training and supervision of master student’s projects and in the development of student’s research skills.
• Writing of scientific reports and manuscripts.
• Assist in the manuscripts’ revision and writing of research projects.

Specific Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry from 2023 or later
• Expertise in organic synthesis.
• Experience in the field of polymer chemistry is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in writing and publishing research results in top scientific journals.
• Experience in spectroscopic techniques (e.g. UV-Vis, fluorescence, NMR).
• Excellent command of English (written and oral) is required.

Years of Research Experience: 1 - 4
