Offer Description

The Euro-Argo ERIC Office is opening a Marine Biogeochemical Science Officer position.

The person will contribute to the coordination efforts of the team with regard to the extensive use of Argo biogeochemical data, in the framework of recently awarded projects contributing to the new OneArgo design of the global network.

The work will mainly focus on participating in the development of new data products, as well as helping to prioritise observations among the BGC variables, taking into account the technology readiness and the monitoring urgency.

Education Requirements:

• PhD with a focus on marine biogeochemistry.
• Expertise in one or more of the BGC variables collected by Argo.

Deadline to apply: 30 April 2025

Contract type: Fixed-term contract (12 months), possibility of extending the contract may be considered.
