The main missions are participation in field sampling campaigns (French Guiana), implementation of analytical methods adapted for speciation analyses of mercury and other geochemical parameters, their application to water and sediment samples from French Guiana, interpretation of data in an interdisciplinary context and publication writing. All laboratory work will be done at IPREM (Pau) and ISTerre (Grenoble) research facilities.
• Setting analytical methods
• Sampling and analysis of environmental samples
• Data processing and interpretation
• Presentation of results at conferences
• Writing reports, manuscripts, and publications
• Doctoral degree less than 2 years before the starting date of the contract
• Environmental and analytical chemistry, Geochemistry
• Sample preparation for speciation and biogeochemical reactivity studies
• Elemental and isotopic mass spectrometry (Q-/MC-ICPMS measurements)
• Field work in tropical Amazonian environment
